About Us

Leatherneck Inc. (FMD) was founded by Troy Osborne on an entrepreneurial vision that he could build a company that would provide fleet maintenance solutions to a variety of clients that are looking for an alternative to in-house or on-site maintenance. He also realized he could free his prospective clients of the financial burdens and responsibilities of staffing, supplying, operating and maintaining maintenance facilities of their own while still retaining the quality and timely service they require.

Troy Osborne brings with him over sixteen years of Auto and Truck repairing experience, ten of which were dedicated solely to postal vehicle maintenance with a private vehicle maintenance facility. Complimenting his many years of professional auto and truck repairing experience is his knowledge of the fleet maintenance industry. This quality provides him with the invaluable skills necessary to handle the administrative, billing, parts acquisition and general day to day activities that would facilitate a long term fleet maintenance relationship developing between Leatherneck Inc. and its perspective clientele.

 Emergency Service Repair Experience

While employed with Carl’s Service Garage in Irvington N.J. (92-96) as a fleet service technician, Troy Osborne was responsible for the maintenance and repair of thirty-five ambulances owned and operated by EMTAC Ambulance Service based in Orange N.J.

Troy Osborne then joined the volunteer fire service in 1994 serving with department 15 (Sloatsburg). Upon relocating to Suffern he transferred to department 19 (Suffern Hose Company #1) . While assigned to the Suffern Hose Company Troy Osborne held the title of company engineer. A company engineer is responsible for completing a weekly inspection and maintenance check list on all fire apparatus and equipment. Complimenting Troy’s title of company engineer is his extensive experience as an auto and truck technician. This quality not only allowed him to perform his duties exceptionally but allowed him to service Suffern’s fire apparatus and equipment as well as Suffern’s police cars in a professional and efficient manner while employed with Stu’s Auto and Truck Service (96-06).

It is this experience with emergency service maintenance and repair that would allow Troy Osborne’s fleet maintenance company Leatherneck Inc. to pursue a professional maintenance and repair relationship with perspective emergency service clientele.
